Ecommerce behemoth Amazon.com is now delivering beer and wine to Prime members in the Portland, Ore., area, in just two hours or less, local NBC-affiliated TV station KGW has reported.
Available through the Seattle-based company’s Prime Now ultra-fast delivery service, the beer and wine selection includes popular domestic brands and local favorites, including beer from Deschutes Brewery and Full Sail Brewing Co. Portland-area residents currently have access to tens of thousands of other items through Prime Now, with the most-ordered being sparkling water, organic macaroni and cheese, and Amazon’s Kindle Paperwhite e-reader, the news station said.
Prime Now is available to members of Amazon’s Prime program, which offers free two-day delivery and other amenities for an annual membership fee of $99, according to KGW. Prime Now is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day in the region, charging nothing for two-hour delivery and $7.99 for one-hour delivery.
