Allegiance Makes Organizational Changes

Allegiance Retail Services has made several organizational appointments and promotions to keep up with its accelerated growth, including the recent acquisition of Pathmark and opening of 10 new Foodtown locations.

Joe Fantozzi was named VP, retail/member development, tasked with growing the number of retailer members. He most recently served as president/COO of White Rose Foods.

Sherry Toy was appointed senior director, IT, and will support all IT functions for member stores. She most recently headed the IT department for A&P.

Other appointments include Andrew Wasserman as senior category manager, frozen food; he replaces Gene Camiolo who was promoted to senior category manager, non-edibles. Christie Stark was promoted to the newly created sales manager, center store.

“Each of these organizational changes were done to afford the co-op the opportunity to continue to grow member, store count and sales in a seamless way, while maintaining the quality support and professionalism we deliver to our member-groups daily,” said John Derderian, president and COO of Allegiance Retail Services.
