Albertsons Helps California Leaders Get Out the Vote Across Ethnic Communities
OAKLAND, Calif. - Albertsons is joining California officials who want to "Get Out the Vote" in diverse neighborhoods in the Bay Area.
Albertsons participated in Vote America by offering customers the opportunity to pick up voter registration materials at Albertsons stores and ran advertisements in circulars as well as a series of advertisements in a variety of languages and local ethnic newspapers during the month of October. The retailer also ran a series of traffic spots emphasizing every American's right to vote.
"Civic responsibility is an important value at Albertsons," said Stacia Levenfeld, Albertsons public affairs director for California. "We encourage all of our customers, from all of the diverse neighborhoods we serve, to exercise their right to vote and we are proud to be providing the information and tools to make this happen."
