Ahold Delhaize’s Chief Ecommerce/Innovation Officer Departing
Hanneke Faber, chief ecommerce and innovation officer at Zaandam, Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize, will leave the company at the end of December to pursue another career opportunity, reportedly at Unilever. A search for her successor has begun.
Praising Faber “for her valuable contribution to Ahold Delhaize, and her energy and inspiration in defining and executing our digital and omnichannel growth strategy since 2013,” Ahold Delhaize CEO Dick Boer noted, “She leaves us well on track to deliver close to 3 billion euros of online consumer sales in 2017, and nearly 5 billion euros by 2020.”
Added Boer, “In the past years we have made good progress in making the local customer experience seamless anywhere, anytime across our brands by combining thriving networks of brick-and-mortar stores and strong online businesses.”
Faber’s successor will have the new role of chief digital officer and be responsible for driving digital transformation and innovation, including loyalty data analytics and personalization, which are major elements of Ahold Delhaize’s Better Together strategy. Additionally, the company said it would continue to coordinate best practice sharing in ecommerce across its banners to benefit from its worldwide scale.
