AG New England Names S.V.P. of Warehousing and Transportation

PEMBROKE, N.H. -- Stephen Creed has been promoted to s.v.p. of warehousing and transportation at Associated Grocers of New England, Inc. here, the company said yesterday.

Creed came to AG New England last year from Minneapolis-based Supervalu, where he served as g.m. of its Pleasant Prairie, Wis. distribution center. "In the short time that Steve has been with us," noted AG New England president and c.e.o. Mike Bourgoine, "he took charge of our business plans and last year guided us through our smoothest summer operations in many years. Further, he took control of our warehouse and transportation transition plans to our new distribution center in Pembroke, N.H., demonstrating outstanding leadership to his supervisory team and our warehouse and transportation personnel."

AG New England, owned entirely by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative, is the largest retailer-owned wholesale grocery distribution center in New England. The company serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the upstate New York/Albany area.
