AG New England Names First Facility Manager
MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Associated Grocers of New England, Inc. here said yesterday that Brett Davis has joined the company as facility manager, a new position at the wholesale grocery cooperative.
Davis has 12 years of management experience with Wal-Mart distribution centers in Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas; and also held the position of foreman for BR Building Corp. in Temple, Texas. At AG New England, he reports to v.p. of warehousing and transportation Stephen Creed, who noted in a statement, "Brett brings a high level of expertise in new-building startup that will be invaluable as we make the transition to our new Pembroke, N.H. distribution center early in 2006."
Associated Grocers of New England, entirely owned by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative and the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery distribution center in New England, serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the upstate New York/Albany area.
