AG New England Appoints S.V.P./C.F.O.
PEMBROKE, N.H. -- Associated Grocers of New England, Inc. here said yesterday it has promoted Steve Murphy to the position of s.v.p. and c.f.o.
Murphy joined AG New England in 1987 as assistant controller and risen steadily through the ranks since then. "Steve has professionally and expertly managed our finance and administration for the past several years," noted company president and c.e.o. Mike Bourgoine, "providing AG New England with the fiscal integrity required by our stockholders, lenders and our board of directors."
The largest retailer-owned wholesale grocery distribution center the region, Associated Grocers of New England, owned entirely by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative, serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the upstate New York/Albany area.
