AG New England Appoints Retail Accounts Manager
Associated Grocers of New England has promoted Ray Choate to the position of retail accounts manager. “Ray will be responsible for directing and overseeing the activities of our team of retail business counselors,” explained AG New England president and CEO Mike Bourgoine. “He'll also work directly with some key customers.”
Choate joined the company more than seven years ago and most recently held the position of bakery/deli specialist. Before coming to Pembroke, N.H.-based AG New England, he was a meat manager at regional chain Butson's Supermarkets for about 14 years, later rising to store manager. “Ray's strong retail background and positive approach have made him a great asset for our retail customers,” noted Bourgoine.
Owned entirely by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative AG New England is the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery distribution center in the region. The company serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and the upstate New York/Albany area.
