NGA Calls For Creative Choice Award Entries

The Arlington, Va.-based National Grocers Association (NGA) is calling for entries for its annual Creative Choice Awards to recognize the best marketing and merchandising programs in the independent grocery industry. Winners will be honored at The NGA Show, set to take place Feb. 11-14, 2018, in Las Vegas.

The Creative Choice Awards Contest is a retailer awards competition, and while only the retailer for the entry will be a category winner, wholesalers, manufacturers, suppliers and advertising agencies engaged in the creation and use of the programs for the grocery stores may also enter. The competition is divided into 10 categories, with two winners from each category, one for 1-15 store operator and one from a 15-plus store operator. Out of the category winners, one “Outstanding Marketer” and one “Outstanding Merchandiser” will be awarded, determined by both the judges and through online voting.

Entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts on creativity, clarity and effectiveness.

The Creative Choice Awards Contest, sponsored by Kellogg’s and Unilever, honors the best marketing and merchandising programs in the independent supermarket industry that have boosted store traffic, increased item or department sales, positively impacted overall store sales or provided a unique benefit to the community. Marketing campaigns and merchandising events or promotion held between Dec. 1, 2016 and Dec. 1, 2017 are eligible for this year’s contest. All entries are due by Dec. 11, 2017.
