Food Lion Names Top 5 Store Managers
Food Lion has named five store managers as divisional award winners, making them eligible for the grocer’s Ralph W. Ketner Store Manager of the Year Award, which will be presented later this month.
The divisional winners are Jeff Estes, Store 2206, Mooresville, N.C., for the central Charlotte division; Leslie Johnson, Store 57, Durham, N.C., for the Mid-Atlantic division; Brandon Phillips, Store 1352, Elkin, N.C., for the central Greensboro division; Wendy Thompson, Store 1217, Lumberton, N.C., for the southern division; and Matthew Webber, Store 2194, Falling Waters, W. Va., for the northern division.
"Our store managers are the heartbeat of our organization and represent the towns and cities we serve," noted Food Lion President Meg Ham. "Our store associates bring our brand, our strategy and everything we do to life for our customers. These exceptional store managers lead the way for our associates who serve our customers every day."
In recognition of the division winners, the chain will donate $1,000 to each of the feeding agencies served by their respective stores. The winner of the Ralph W. Ketner Store Manager of the Year Award, named for the grocer’s co-founder, who died last year, will receive the honor at Food Lion's headquarters office on Feb. 16.
