Swiss Farms Names Scott Simon President/CEO
Scott Simon has joined Swiss Farms as its new president and CEO. In his new role, Simon – who will oversee operational services and drive revenue through exceptional customer service, investments in employee training, and strategic planning and management – will lead the Broomall, Pa.-based drive-through market in a fresh new direction with lifestyle focused, good-for-you product offerings to grow market share and increase customer base.
Prioritizing customer engagement and associate training programs as keys to effectively communicating positive changes within the retailer, Simon will seek to enhance marketing programs to reinforce the drive-through experience with a focus on convenient and healthier solutions for time-starved patrons through increased signage, social media campaigns, and community outreach.
'Providing easy solutions'
“For fifty years Swiss Farms has been a trusted brand, serving our customer’s on-the-go needs," said Simon. "Today, we understand that one of the biggest challenges to achieving a healthy lifestyle is time and convenience so we're listening to our customers and helping them by providing easy solutions – whether grabbing dinner for the family, breakfast in the morning, or snacks for the little league team," he added.
Extending the convenience factor to the online ordering system will involve a revamp by grouping products associated with lifestyle needs in categories like after school snacks or tailgating, as well as suggesting products that are generally purchased together.
In addition to Simon, Swiss Farms recently added an on-staff dietitian, Audrey Hasse, to assist with product selection and community outreach. Swiss Farms will continue to strike a balance between indulgent local favorites and good-for-you options.
Simon most recently served as COO at Heavenly Bowl, LLC, where he led the operational activities from inception to execution at nine stores in Southern California and Nevada. He also previously served as director of food and beverage for Harrah’s Philadelphia, CCR Resorts in Las Vegas, and Par-A-Dice Hotel & Casino, operated by Boyd Gaming, in East Peoria, Ill. Past experiences include positions at Aramark and Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. as well.
Swiss Farms has 13 drive-through market locations throughout the Philadelphia area in Delaware and Chester Counties.
