Weis Wages Another Grocery Giveaway

Weis Markets is hand-delivering 4,000 reusable bags containing free private brand products and coupons worth $67 – an overall total of $220,000 – to households in the neighborhoods near its Queensgate Shopping Center store in York, Pa.

The third such effort by the chain, the bags are being given away as part of the upcoming grand re-opening celebration for this remodeled and expanded store. The store, which was open during the project, will officially mark its grand re-opening on June 19.

“After a year-long project, we wanted to thank our customers for their patience during construction and we’re in the mood to celebrate,” said Dennis Curtin, Weis director of public relations. “That’s why we’re hand delivering 14 of our best store brand products free of charge along with six high-value coupons to the neighborhoods near our store.”

The Weis reusable bags contain Weis Quality Raisin Crunch, Weis/Utz Five Star Hard Pretzels, Weis Quality 100% Wheat Thins, Weis Quality EZ Squeeze Ketchup, Weis Quality Wing Sauce, Weis Quality Barbecue Sauce, Weis Quality Stone Ground Mustard, Weis Quality Sugar Free Iced Tea Mix, Weis Quality Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette, Weis Five Star Honey Lemon Green Tea, Weis Quality Cheddar Rice Cakes, Weis Quality heavy-duty assorted cutlery, Weis Quality Dinner Napkins and TopCare Hand Sanitizer.

The bag also contains six coupons including one offering $10 off a $50 order and a dollar off a gallon of gas (maximum 20 gallons) at any Weis Gas N’ Go and Sheetz’ locations for a new or transferred prescription, along with discount coupons for the store’s perishable departments.
