United Fresh Installs New Officers, Board Members
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United Fresh Produce Association is poised to install its new officers and board members at its upcoming meeting this weekend.
Emanuel Lazopoulos, s.v.p./N.A., sales, marketing and product management for Coral Gables, Fla.-based Del Monte Fresh Produce, will ascend to board chairman, while Tom Lovelace, e.v.p., Columbia, S.C.-based McEntire Produce, will assume vice chairmanship. Board co-chairs Maureen Marshall, v.p./Torrey Farms Inc. and Mark Miller, president/owner, Fresh From Texas, will remain on the board and the executive committee for one year. In addition, Steffanie Smith, president, deli/prepared foods, Taylor Farms, will continue to serve as secretary-treasurer.
The following industry leaders have been elected to serve on the United Fresh board for a two-year term beginning May 2007:
