Transora's Data Synchronization Solution TDC Version 3.0 Now Available
December 23, 2002 -- CHICAGO -- Transora, a provider of data synchronization solutions to the consumer products industry, today announced that TDC Version 3.0 is now available. Designed to meet the specific needs of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, TDC enables manufacturers to standardize the method in which they synchronize data with trading partners according to standards established by the Global Standards Management Process (GSMP).
Based on the AS2 platform, TDC consists of a public catalogue to store item data, a synchronization engine to synchronize data, full integration with the UCCnet GLOBALregistry and GLOBALhub for instant registration, multiple connections to third parties who need to receive data including country data pools, exchanges and retailers, as well as implementation and support services.
Version 3.0 of TDC includes added functionality including GTIN variation, category-specific attributes and multi-language capability.
GTIN Variation provides publishers with the ability to customize an item's attributes based on the unique requirements of the information provider and the geographic requirements of the recipient. Publishers can leverage this functionality to allow data variation by target market, plant locations and supply chain partners for each country where a product is sold.
Category Specific Attributes allow trading partners to synchronize item information based on category-specific attributes as well as trading partner item information. In anticipation of the Global Commerce Initiative's (GCI) recommendations, Transora is proactively creating the capability to ensure our participant companies will be able to address subscriber trading partner and category-specific data needs.
