Tops created its Christmas Bonus program to help its shoppers save during the holidays
Tops Markets LLC is bringing back its popular Christmas Bonus program with some new offerings.
Shoppers will be able to save an extra 20 percent on a wide range of holiday presents when they shop at Tops, and they’ll get $10 off on $50 gift cards from more than 25 retailers, including such additions as Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, and AMC Theatres. There’s no limit as to how many discounted cards a customer can buy to give as gifts or to use themselves at participating stores and restaurants.
“Tops Christmas Bonus was created as a thank-you and to help our shoppers stretch their budget while spreading holiday cheer,” said Diane Colgan, SVP of marketing at the Williamsville, N.Y.-based grocer. “Whether you are planning on Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping for gifts or a do-it-yourself project at home, taking advantage of Tops Christmas Bonus can save you both time and money.”
Shoppers who use their Tops BonusPlus card will automatically earn one gift point for every grocery purchase of $50 or more at Tops. They can use one gift point at checkout to buy a $50 gift card for just $40. Gift points can be redeemed at any Tops store location.
The program through Dec. 22. There’s a limit of one $10 discount per $50 gift card, and the points must be redeemed by Dec. 29.
Employing more than 14,000 associates, Tops operates 159 supermarkets, with five additional by franchisees under the Tops banner, in New York, northern Pennsylvania and Vermont. The grocer is No. 28 on Progressive Grocer’s 2018 Super 50 list of the top grocers in the United States.
