Stew Leonard's Enters Foodservice Delivery
Stew Leonard's will now deliver a variety of its signature prepared foods to customers in Connecticut's northern Fairfield County, bringing the grocer into competition with local restaurants also offering delivery, according to the Danbury Daily Voice (Dannbury, Conn.).
Residents of Danbury, Brookfield, New Milford, Bethel, Newtown, Sandy Hook, New Fairfield, Ridgefield, Redding and Bridgewater, Conn., can now choose from a menu of 60 products – from a hot-off-the-grill cheeseburger to watermelon chunks and chocolate-chip cookies – for delivery from the Norwalk, Conn.-based grocer, often in less than an hour. The grocer is partnering with Vroom Service Now, a food-delivery service based in Brookfield, to offer the service, the news outlet reported.
Breakfast choices include bagels, egg sandwiches and coffee, while lunch and dinner selections include pizza, salads, sushi, sandwiches and soups. Customers may order by downloading and registering through Vroom's mobile app.
