Stater Bros. Markets Completes $1 Million Remodel

COLTON, Calif. -- Stater Bros. Markets yesterday completed a $1 million remodel of a supermarket in San Bernardino, Calif.

Every department in the remodeled store has been modified to offer a greater variety of products and more services, the chain said. The enhancements include:

-- Full-service seafood department, and meat department offering a selection of U.S.D.A. Select meat, Harris Ranch Premium All-Natural U.S.D.A. Choice Black Angus beef, and U.S.D.A. Prime beef upon request.

-- Hot deli featuring specialty soups, and a new salad and olive bar, plus Stater Bros. Golden Fried Chicken prepared in zero trans fat serving oil.

-- Fresh bakery featuring daily fresh-baked artisan breads, cookies, rolls, desserts, and custom-made cakes, including picture cakes.

-- Floral department offering cut flowers, bouquets, arrangements, potted plants, home-décor items, and custom designs.

-- Produce department with expanded organic selection.

-- New interior lighting, flooring and design.

-- New energy saving lighting and refrigeration systems.

Stater Bros. operates 163 supermarkets in California.
