Sprite Commemorates Lebron James' 'First Home Game'

In celebration of its partnership with Lebron James, Sprite has unveiled "The First Home Game," a 90-second inspirational video that captures James' return to his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

Featuring on-court footage of James' first home court appearance of the season, the video was filmed on Sept. 25 during an event at Akron's Patterson Park to unveil two outdoor basketball courts refurbished by Sprite.

"We’ve been with LeBron since the beginning and we’re looking forward to the next chapter in his illustrious career," said Kimberly Paige, associate VP, Sprite Brands, Coca-Cola North America. "LeBron’s decision to come home embodies the Sprite brand's Obey Your Thirst mantra, and we’re proud to help tell the story of his return to Northeast Ohio."

Currently available on the Sprite brand's YouTube channel, the video will be supported beginning Oct. 30 by the brand's new 30-second ad debuting on TNT, and will be shared by Sprite's and James' social media channels, as well as supported through paid digital media.

The promotion will also be accompanied by a commemorative 12-ounce can, available in 6-packs at participating convenience and retail stores while supplies last.
