Smart & Final Reaches Milestone With Extra Banner
Smart & Final Stores Inc. has reached a new milestone today, opening the 200th location under its Smart & Final Extra banner, in Long Beach, Calif.
The 30,000-square-foot store offers both household and club sizes of products at warehouse prices, but without any membership fee requirement. Shoppers have access to expanded frozen, deli and meat selections; a full fresh produce section with organic options; and various grocery and household staples offered in a wide range of sizes. Extra stores typically provide an additional 6,000 club-size items compared with the company's namesake stores.
Other features of the new store include high-quality perishables such as First Street brand bacon, cheeses and meats; a wide selection of organic offerings from Smart & Final's Sun Harvest brand; Good & Well sections, including organic and natural foods; and products tailored to business customers, such as to-go containers, janitorial supplies and foodservice goods.
In addition to its in-store experience, the store offers home delivery via Instacart. Shoppers can visit shop.smartandfinal.com to build and place their orders.
