Sam’s Club’s Flu Shots Come With 'Low-price Promise'

During the 2014-15 flu season, Sam's Club is making flu shots available to members and non-members at its pharmacy locations nationwide, and is also matching the price of any competitor through its “low-price promise.”

"With the flu season approaching us, Sam's Club wants to provide its communities with easy access and the most cost-efficient way to get vaccinated by offering its low-price promise," noted Jill Turner-Mitchael, SVP, Sam's Club Health and Wellness. "We hope through this offering, and our pharmacists' ability to provide patients with additional information on flu prevention, we can help people take the right steps to stay healthy this flu season."

Accepting both walk-ins and appointments, Sam's Club has the standard three-strain trivalent flu shots, four-strain quadrivalent flu shots, and high-dose flu shots specifically meant for those 65 years and older, in addition to flu and other vaccines for children age 8 and older. Further, to help small businesses get ready for flu season, the company can arrange in-office flu vaccinations to those businesses' employees, administered by a pharmacist, in select locations.

Sam's Club also offers adults age 18 and older year-round immunizations for pneumonia (pneumococcal); whooping cough (pertussis) tetanus and diphtheria (Tdap/Td); shingles (herpes zoster); chickenpox (varicella); HPV (human papillomavirus); MMR (measles, mumps, rubella); meningitis (meningococcal); hepatitis A; and hepatitis B.

A division of Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Sam's Club has 642 clubs in the United States and Puerto Rico.
