Ring. Bros. Marketplace to Hold Fall Festival of Wine and Food

SOUTH DENNIS, Mass. – Community-based independent Ring Bros Marketplace will host The fifth annual Fall Festival of Wine and Food November 3 at its store based here.

The Fall Festival features 75 wines and hundreds of gourmet food samples from the six individually-owned stores that make up the departments of Ring Bros. Entertainment will be provided by The Bart Wiseman Trio and there will be a raffle to benefit the Harwich Family Food Pantry with a grand prize of a Lobster and Steak dinner for two.

“We began the festival the first year we opened to showcase the various offerings we had in the Marketplace,” Don Fallon, Ring Bros. g.m. told Progressive Grocer. “It was so successful we decided to do it every year. It used to be held in October, but we moved it closer to Thanksgiving, as during that time consumers are putting together their Holiday meal plans.

Harney's Wine and Liquors' Grand Wine Tasting will offer over 75 wines from around the world, as well as more than a dozen craft beers to sample. “With the holidays right around the corner this is an excellent opportunity to try some new wines for your dinner table.” said Marc Reingold, owner of Harney’s Liquors, which is Ring Bros. alcoholic beverage dapartment. Representatives from major wineries will be on hand to answer questions about their offerings.

Every store in the marketplace will provide samples of their homemade items, including Spinner's gourmet pizzas, Nata's Noodles appetizers and desserts, Chatham Fish's crab and scallop cakes, and Dark Horse's meats and deli items. “Festival day allows our customers to try new items we have developed,” said Rita MacLeland, owner of Spinner’s Pizza and Burrito.

In addition, Ring Bros. will host gourmet food purveyors from around the country, such as JUJU Bakery, Kayak Cookies, and Olivia’s Salads. “We have vendors calling us to participate in the festival because they know it is a great way for a lot of people to try their new products” said Pat Ring, Grocery Manager for Ring Bros. Markets, “Every year it gets bigger and bigger.”

Local entertainers The Bart Wiseman Trio will perform a variety of jazz classics during the Festival.

As it does every year, Ring Bros. will hold a raffle with all proceeds going to The Harwich Family Food Pantry a non-profit, non-denominational group dedicated to serving the needs of the less fortunate of Cape Cod. The grand prize this year is a Steak and Lobster Dinner for two with all of the fixings. First prize is a $50 Ring Bros. Marketplace Gift Card and second prize is a $25 gift card.

Ring Bros. is a jointly-operated combination of six independently owned businesses: Ring Bros.
