Redner’s Debuts Delaware Unit

Just in time for the holiday season, Redner’s Warehouse Markets this morning is poised to cut the ribbon on its first store in Delaware. The store will open this Wednesday.

“Through the years, we’ve received many requests from residents in Delaware to open in their market,” said Ryan Redner, c.e.o. of the Reading, Pa.-based independent grocer. He said the family chain jumped on the chance to seize the location at 88 Salt Creek Dr./Rt. 13 southbound in the Shoppes at Fieldstone Village, when the opportunity became available.

The full-service, warehouse-format grocery store offers an in-store bakery, full-service deli, produce, meats, frozen, dairy, HBC/non-foods, and grocery departments.

The store will offer a full-service seafood department featuring a variety of fresh product on a daily basis, the grocer said.

Among its services are UScan self check-out terminals, a full-service pharmacy, Western Union money services, CoinStar coin counting, Redbox video rental, and many gift cards from national retailers.

The location will also offer fuel at 10 pumps in the parking lot in the near future, Redner’s said.

Employee-owned Redner’s operates 40 Warehouse Markets and 13 Quick Shoppes in Eastern Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and now Delaware.
