Reasor’s to Open New Store in Sand Springs, Okla.
Independent grocer Reasor’s plans to open a new store in Prattville, a community of Sand Springs, Okla. Which, along with its store currently in development in Bixby, will bring its total store count to 17 when both open next year.
“We are excited about the prospect of bringing Reasor’s to Sand Springs,”. “Upon signing the lease for the property, we have started the clock ticking on the due diligence period with engineers, architects and the city of Sand Springs for plans and permitting,” said Allen Mills, Reasor’s president and chief strategy officer, and a former Prattville resident. “The building will require extensive renovations and remodeling. We have 120 days to finalize logistics, and we are eager to get the ball rolling on opening the new store. If all goes as planned, the new store is expected to be open for business by late next summer.”
The new 65,000 square foot store will offer a full complement of departments including sushi, seafood, fresh meat, produce, bakery, deli, olive bar, specialty foods and pharmacy.
The store is expected to create 200 new jobs for the community, and applications for part- and full-time employment will be accepted online at www.reasors.com beginning April. Reasor’s is 100% employee owned with competitive benefits packages including an employee stock ownership plan.
Talequah, Okla.-based Reasor’s operates 15 grocery stores and two convenience stores in Northeastern Oklahoma.
