Raley’s Debuts Chef-created Gourmet Meals
Raley’s Family of Fine Stores has partnered with Chefs’ Menu – which teams up with independent local restaurant chefs to create a menu of reasonably priced gourmet meals – to offer alternatives to customers in search of quick meal solutions.
Raley’s Chefs’ Menu entrées are designed to taste as good as they do in their local restaurants but with the ease of going from pan to plate in roughly 10 minutes. The program is set up to be “mix and match," allowing shoppers to choose their favorite fresh vegetables, starch and protein, plus sauces created by chefs from some of Northern California's best local restaurants, such as:
- Chef Suleka Sun-Lindley, executive chef at Thai Basil Restaurant, Sacramento
- Chef Leroy Walker, executive chef at Bistro 234, Turlock
- Chef John Surla, executive chef at Surla’s, Modesto
- Chef Vincent Alvarado, executive chef at Dewz, Modesto
- Chef Stanley Dimond, executive chef of Chefs’ Menu
“Raley's Chefs’ Menu makes a master chef out of anyone and all that with spending just about 10 minutes in the kitchen," according to Koen Vermeylen, Raley’s meat and seafood expert. Customers can buy the pre-cut meat, sauce, side dish, fresh-cut veggies in Raley's meat departments, continued Vereylen, "and have a quick, restaurant-quality meal at home.”
Dan Costa, CEO and founder of Chefs’ Menu elaborated further on the partnership with Raley's. “We live in a busy, always on-the-go type world and family dinners are in danger of becoming a thing of the past. Chefs’ Menu is all about bringing the family back around the table," said Costa, "and Raley’s is the perfect partner for this concept. Together, Raley's and Chefs’ Menu make it possible to enjoy each other’s company over a gourmet meal, with as little prep as possible, and a price that fits everyone’s budget."
Raley’s Chefs’ Menu can be found exclusively in the meat departments of Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods.
