Pyramid Foods Opens Ruby’s Market

Pyramid Foods has opened its new concept, Ruby’s Market, in a former Dillons location in Springfield, Mo. Named after Pyramid CEO Eric Taylor’s grandmother, the store focuses on fresh, local and quality food, as expressed by its motto, “Good Food for All.” Inside, signage proclaims Ruby’s “Springfield’s healthiest grocery store.”

The new store features a juicer, bar and tap house; 140 feet of refrigerated craft and domestic beers; and meat (including grass-fed), seafood and bakery counters. Chocolate is made on site. A brick oven baking pizzas is in the back corner of the store. The produce department features a chop shop where staff can cut produce to customer specifications.

Rogersville, Mo.-based Pyramid Foods operates more than 50 grocery stores in Missouri and Oklahoma under several banners, including Price Cutter, Ramey, Country Mart, Bistro Market and Summer Fresh.
