Progressive Grocer Launches 'Connected Consumer' Summit

Progressive Grocer has created a new technology event to help CPG retailers and suppliers better leverage consumer-focused digital assets.

The Connected Consumer Summit was designed to help CPG retailers and their supplier partners make more effective use of digital tools and online resources. The Summit, taking place this September in Chicago, will provide a unique forum for CPG retail stakeholders to engage with tech companies in learning how various digital assets can be used to increase shopping trip frequency and market basket value.

“Every aspect of the Connected Consumer Summit—from content to sponsors—is influenced by our retailer advisory board," said Joseph Tarnowski, editor of Progressive Grocer Tech. "Members such as Paul Scorza, EVP and CIO at Ahold USA, and Karl Meinhardt, VP Digital and Mobile at Albertsons, are among the many retail technology thought leaders who help ensure that our key differentiator is relevance. The goal of the Summit is to help participants cut through the industry clutter and find the specific tech tools they need to drive profitability.”

Key features of the one-and-a-half day event include retailer/supplier keynote presentations, tech company presentations to retailers and suppliers, one-on-one meetings, and networking opportunities.

Topics covered include big data, mobile technology and apps, consumer insights, digital and social media marketing, customer relationship management, and shopper marketing.
