Price Chopper Adds Exclusive Specialty Meats

Price Chopper Supermarkets has formed a trade partnership with family-owned and -operated specialty meat company Strauss Brands, which is now exclusively supplying the 132-store grocery chain with Chiappetti Meat Co. branded lamb, group-raised veal and grass-fed beef.

“We’re confident that the superior quality of their chops, grinds and roasts, as well as their best-in-class animal welfare practices, will be well received by our customers and further establish Price Chopper as a signature destination for lamb, veal and grass-fed beef,” said Jason Resner, VP of meat merchandising of the Schenectady, N.Y.-based grocer, which operates in six Northeastern states.

Similar Missions

Strauss Free Raised grass-fed beef is sourced only from independent American family farmers who raise and finish their heritage-bred, free-roaming cattle on a 100 percent grass and forage diet. The cattle never receive grains, are never confined to a feedlot and are never given hormones or antibiotics.
