PBH Gets 32 New Donors

Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) welcomed 32 companies as PBH donors during 2010. “We are very pleased to add these companies to the ranks of PBH contributors,” said Elizabeth Pivonka, president and CEO of the Hockessin, Del.-based nonprofit. “We are happy to receive their support for our mission of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption.”

Additionally, several organizations that were already donors boosted their PBH donation level last year. The list includes Growers Express LLC which upped its donation to $15,000; Ahold USA, which bumped up its contribution to $20,000; Dole Food Co. Inc., which upgraded to a $25,000 contribution level; The Walt Disney Co, which raised its contribution to $35,000; and Bayer CropScience, which increased its contribution to $50,000. Produce Marketing Association upped its support to $50,000, with a $250,000 pledge over the next five years, as did Seneca Foods Corp. and Taylor Farms.
