New Seasons Unveils 3-level Store

New Seasons Market plans to construct a 25,000-square-foot, three-level grocery store in the Southeast Portland, Ore., town of Woodstock on the site of the former Wood Pro Beauty Center, Putters Bar and Grill, and the Woodstock Wellness Center.

“We’re excited and humbled by the outpouring of enthusiasm during our exploration of this location,” said Wendy Collie, president and CEO of New Seasons Market. “Making a decision to build a new store takes many months, and we appreciate the Woodstock community’s interest and patience during the process.”

The store's three-level structure will include an underground level with parking for 56 cars; a street-level store with covered bike parking; and rooftop features, including a deck with a semi-enclosed dining area for customers and offices for store personnel. All three levels will be accessible by an elevator and stairs.

Inside the store, customers will experience New Seasons’ fresh, organic produce, locally and sustainably raised meats and seafood, a full-service deli featuring chef-prepared entrees and made-to-order sandwiches, a selection of artisan cheese and bread, wine and beer, hundreds of bulk items, an in-house florist, a coffee, tea and dessert station, and a wellness department staffed by experts on health and body care.

“We love everything about Woodstock – from its students and families, locally owned restaurants, and the fact that there’s a working farm nearby,” said Collie. “We’re excited to be part of one of Portland’s most historic neighborhoods and to be a positive influence in shaping its future. Every time we open a new store we strengthen our regional food economy by expanding our partnerships with local farmers and suppliers, as well as the local nonprofit organizations serving the community.”

Founded in 2000, New Seasons Market operates 13 stores in the Portland-Vancouver area.
