Mott’s, Susan G. Komen for the Cure are in the Pink

Mott’s, the nation’s leading producer of branded apple sauce and apple juice, is showing its support for Susan G. Komen for the Cure with “Pink to the Core” limited-edition Mott’s Plus Apple Sauce and Mott’s Healthy Harvest Apple Sauce, which will be available on store shelves through October. In connection with the promotion, the well-known brand has pledged to donate $300,000 to the organization, the world’s largest grass-roots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.

“Our Plus and Healthy Harvest apple sauces help support women’s healthful lifestyles – each container provides a full serving of real fruit,” said Dave Fleming, brand director for Mott’s, a brand of Plano, Texas-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

Mott’s Plus Apple Sauce contains beneficial nutrients for women and comes in three flavours: Pomegranate with antioxidant Vitamins C and E, Harvest Apple with calcium, and Cranberry Raspberry with fiber. Naturally fat- and cholesterol-free Mott’s Healthy Harvest Apple Sauce, an excellent source of Vitamin C, is available in five flavors: Blueberry Delight, Granny Smith, Country Berry, Summer Strawberry and Peach Medley.

In addition to the “Pink to the Core” promotion, Mott’s is a national series sponsor of the 2009 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series. The world’s largest series of 5K runs and fitness walks raises funds and awareness about breast cancer and breast health, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. Mott’s Healthy Harvest and Mott’s Plus Apple Sauces, along with other products from the brand, will be on hand to help fuel race teams before, during and after the events.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series operates in over 120 cities in five countries.
