Meijer to Offer Cricket Wireless Products

Midwestern superstore retailer Meijer has formed a new partnership with Cricket Wireless to provide consumers with more access to its devices, accessories and 4G LTE network.

Starting June 27, Meijer customers can purchase new Cricket devices or Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Universal SIM Card Activation Kits for their existing compatible phones, and activate them online with a qualifying rate plan – starting at $35 a month after $5 AutoPay credit, taxes and fees included.

Cricket devices and services will be offered at 213 Meijer supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, and will offer a variety of “Grab & Go” phones from manufacturers like HTC, LG, Samsung and ZTE.  For consumers who want to keep their phones, but still take advantage of Cricket’s reliable 4G LTE network, Cricket will also offer a BYOD Universal SIM Card Kit that will fit any device.

“Cricket is excited to be working with a fellow retail pioneer like Meijer. Meijer invented ‘one-stop shopping’ and Cricket ‘re-invented’ the no-contract shopping experience,” said Reed Good, director, sales operations, Cricket Wireless. “Together, we share a deep commitment to providing consumers with a first-class retail experience that includes quality products and services at affordable prices."
