Meijer Drops Toy Prices

Meijer aims to help its customers’ bottom line this holiday shopping season by slashing prices on more than 350 products in its toy department.

“A tough economic climate is continuing to make shoppers pare down their holiday lists,” said David Stickney, Meijer merchandise manager for toys. “Meijer’s goal is to help our customers save money while still enjoying the tradition of gift-giving during the holidays.”

The price reductions are another wave of the retailer’s ongoing Price Drop program, where thousands of unadvertised items – ranging from health and beauty products to clothing – are reduced in price every day.

The Toy Price Drop program includes virtually every toy category, with discounts up to 50 percent off Meijer’s regular prices.

Shoppers can save even more money by combining these price drops with Meijer’s Santa Bucks promotion throughout the month of December. The promotion offers in-store coupons for up to $30 off purchases.

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer operates 195 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, offering expanded fresh produce and meat departments, pharmacies, comprehensive electronics departments, garden centers and apparel offerings.
