Marukome Miso Makes Its Way to the USA

Marukome Miso is embarking on a national roll out of its various miso products, all of which are produced in a new Irvine, Calif. facility designed expressly for the American
market. Best known in the U.S. as soup, Miso is a fermented paste made of soybeans and rice or barley. A staple of the Japanese diet and similar to yogurt, there are positive digestive bacilli produced in the fermentation process, which gives miso the benefit of providing amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Beyond soup, Marukome Miso can add flavor to fish or meats as a marinade, while its low calorie/low fat salad dressings are also available in several flavors as well. With an SRP ranging from $4.60 to $6.60, Marukome Miso products are for supermarket's specialty cold case as well as on grocery shelves.
