Lunchables, Animal Planet Let Kids ‘Lunch, Roar & Score’

Critter-loving youngsters can start their zoology studies early with the Lunch, Roar & Score Sweepstakes from Lunchables Lunch Combinations, which offers 10 winners and their families the chance to meet with Animal Planet celebrity Jeff Corwin.

“My fascination with animals started when I was very young, so I’m excited to help other kids discover their inner animal expert,” noted Corwin, whose show, “Corwin Quest,” runs on the cable network. “This sweepstakes offers families a unique chance to see the world of animals through my eyes.”

Through May 3, children can enter the contest for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Boston with their families, where they’ll spend three days with Corwin, learning about animals. To enter, kids log onto www.lunchables.com and answer an animal-themed trivia question. The winners will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the New England Aquarium and Franklin Park Zoo, as well as an exclusive welcome dinner with Corwin.

“We believe all kids have the potential to do great things,” said Darin Dugan, senior director of marketing at Lunchables, a brand of Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods. “The Lunch, Roar & Score Sweepstakes really focuses on an interest we know kids want to learn more about — animals.”

The brand has also added to its line four varieties featuring whole grain, 100 percent white meat chicken and turkey made with 100% percent turkey breast. The new varieties are available in the refrigerated section of grocery stores and retail for $1.99 each.
