Logic CEO Alelov Discusses Potential E-Cig Regs

LIVINGSTON, N.J. -- Two years after announcing it was going to regulate electronic cigarettes, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is expected to release those regulations this month.

There has been a lot of speculation about what those rules will look like, with the general consensus in the e-cigarette industry being that they will closely resemble the cigarette regulations the agency has issued since the passage of the 2009 Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. These include flavor bans and age restrictions.

Earlier this week, Eli Alelov, president, CEO and founder of Logic Technology Development LLC, appeared on Fox Business channel's "Varney & Co." to discuss FDA regulations and taxation that may follow. The Livingston, N.J.-based company is the maker of Logic electronic cigarettes.
