Let PGI Know About Your Outstanding Independent Operation

Independent operators run some of the best supermarkets in the country, and Progressive Grocer Independent wants to know about them. The magazine is seeking nominations for its Outstanding Independent Awards; winners will be featured in the February 2017 issue and celebrated at the NGA Show the same month in Las Vegas.

The editors will be using several criteria to judge the nominations, including fresh departments, such as produce, meat and seafood, bakery, and deli/prepared foods, as well as operational ingenuity, in areas like technology and sustainability. Community outreach programs also are open for nominations, as well as any way that operators “wow” their customers.

From the nominations, we will select two Overall Outstanding Operators (one single-store and one multistore) in addition to awarding the departmental and operational honors.

Nominations must be received by Nov. 1, 2016.
