LBD Rosé Wine
Excelsior Wine Co. has added a wine to its Little Black Dress (LBD) Wines portfolio, LBD Rosé. With a salmon-pink color and aromas of strawberry and grapefruit, the wine contains juicy flavors of ripe berries, with a dash of sweetness and a clean finish. LBD Rosé, crafted by winemaker Margaret Leonardi at LBD’s winery in Mendocino County, Calif., is made up of 54 percent Gewurztraminer, 23 percent Muscat, 14 percent Chardonnay, 5 percent Zinfandel and 4 percent other complementary white varietals. At 12.5 percent alcohol by volume, it is a suitable accompaniment to light summer dishes, especially salads, fish, grilled meats and fresh cheese. LBD Rosé is available throughout the United States through Brookville, N.Y.-based Excelsior at an SRP of $11.99 per 750-milliliter bottle.
