Grocery Retailers Recognized for Meat Marketing
The Certified Angus Beef brand recognized a slate of on-trend retailers for their superior marketing and sales leadership in the meat category, at the company's annual conference held Sept. 17-19 in Marco Island, Fla.
The list of winners include K-Va-T Food Stores (Food City), Abingdon, Va., Retail Market of the Year – Large Chain; Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly, Hartland, Wis., Retail Marketer of the Year - Small Chain; HEB Mexico, based in Escobedo, Retail Advertiser of the Year; Comercial Carnes Casa Blanca, Medellin, Colombia, International Retail Marketer of the Year; and Rose Kitchen, Taipei, International Specialty Market Store.
Conference attendees also selected Tulsa, Okla.-based Reasor’s as the People’s Choice Award for the most creative and results-oriented promotion.
“These retailers continue to identify new avenues for sharing our premium quality and farm-to-table stories with customers,” says John Stika, the beef brand’s president. “They offer a vital link between consumers and ranchers who are equally passionate about bringing their best to the table with the Certified Angus Beef brand.”
Seven companies also received awards for the most Certified Angus Beef brand products sold during the past year, including Meijer, Strack & Van Til Supermarket, Skogen's Festival Foods, Crest Foods, DeKalb Farmers market, TOPCO Associates, and Central Grocers.
More than 16,000 businesses partner with the Certified Angus Beef brand, generating an estimated $6 billion in consumer sales annually.
