Giant To Go Bows Second Location

Giant-Carlisle is opening its second Giant To Go convenience store on May 19 in Manheim Township in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County. The 4,000 square foot store will carry a variety of convenient breakfast, lunch and dinner meal solutions.

“We gained valuable customer insight from our first Giant To Go location, and this new Giant To Go will deliver an expanded fresh variety of food coupled with all the traditional convenience store offerings,” noted the new store’s manager, Sean Michael. “Time-starved customers will find fresh and healthy meal alternatives prepared especially for them.” The first Giant To Go store debuted in Lancaster, Pa., in April 2009.

The store has features three distinct shopping areas: Meals to Go, Groceries to Go and Snacks to Go.

Fresh food offerings include made-in-store rotisserie chicken and fried chicken, a full salad bar, and subs accompanied by a toppings bar enabling customers to customize their sandwiches. The coffee station has a self-service espresso and real cappuccino machine, in addition to flavor shots for fresh brewed coffee. Among the store’s other unique features aew fresh sushi made daily, breakfast sandwiches, hot oatmeal and hot soup.

Additionally, shoppers will encounter more than 3,000 of the most-purchased Giant and national-brand grocery items. Giant To Go will also provide snacks and other customary beverages for customers to buy when they stop to get gas and redeem their Gas Extra Rewards points. The 12-pump fuel station is Giant-Carlisle’s fourth in Lancaster County

For every $100 spent on grocery and pharmacy out-of-pocket expenses at any Giant-Carlisle store or Giant To Go using a Bonuscard, customers will receive 10 cents off per gallon of gas when they fill up through the loyalty program. Points can be amassed and redeemed now through June 25, and a new promotion is slated to start on June 26.
