FreshDirect Gets Exclusive with All-Natural Meat Supplier; Expands To Westchester, N.Y.
NEW YORK -- Online food retailer FreshDirect tapped Creekstone Farms as the exclusive supplier of its 100 percent source-verified, Black Angus beef.

Creekstone Farms' cattle are never given antibiotics or hormones, and are fed only vegetarian food. The farm is one of only five companies in the U.S. that are European Union approved, says the company -- attesting to the safety guarantee that comes with each Creekstone Farms product. In addition, Creekstone was the first beef processor in the nation to receive USDA Process Verification for Tender Beef.
And these customers will now cover even more of New York City, with FreshDirect's planned expansion of delivery services to residents living in parts of lower Westchester County.
