Food Source to Open Pittsburg Store Nov. 28

Food Source, the Northern California-based regional independent grocer, will open its newest store in Pittsburg, Calif., Wednesday, Nov. 28, bringing its total store count to nine, all of which are located in Northern California and Nevada.

"Food Source brings together two things that are very important to grocery consumers: high quality and low cost,” said Bob Tiernan, president of Food Source. “Our new store provides that and offers a great mix of products and services for the Pittsburg community. We want our customers to have the best prices in town on the top-quality brands they know and trust."

The new Food Source store will employ over 70 people, and be led by Mike Hilton -- a nearby resident with over 12 years of retail grocery experience – as store director. "Once shoppers visit our store and see the great prices on the high quality products we're able to provide, enthusiasm within the community is going to explode,” said Hilton.

The new Food Source will feature fresh meat and produce, grocery, dairy and frozen foods, as well as a bulk foods department. A Wells Fargo branch within the store offers convenient banking solutions for customers and the Food Source customer service counter will provide many conveniences for the community including: bill pay, money orders and Money Grams.
