Food Safety, Quality Focus of Free PG Webcast

With global food safety standards top of mind for industry executives across the supply chain, Progressive Grocer invites readers to join executives from Publix, U.S. Foodservice, Tyson and NSF International for a free webcast during which they’ll share their global food safety implementation experiences, challenges and how GFSI has impacted its segment of the food supply chain.

The independent, non-profit Global Food Safety Initiative has emerged as a way to address the safety and quality of the global food supply. Many leading food companies have achieved certification to a GFSI benchmark standard.

Webcast speakers are Michael Roberson, director of corporate quality assurance, Publix Super Markets Inc.; Jorge Hernandez, senior VP of food safety and quality, U.S. Foodservice; Suzanne Finstad, director of food safety and regulatory compliance, Tyson Foods; and Robert Prevendar, director of food safety certification systems, NSF International.
