Electrolux Professional’s New Business Model Will Serve New Segments

Electrolux Professional, a provider of foodservice and laundry solutions for retail, has restructured its business model to include a focus on serving new-customer segments.

“With this new organization, Electrolux Professional is ready to take a step forward adding value to our stakeholders, namely our customers our associates and our shareholders,” said Alberto Zanata, president of the company, which has moved its North American headquarters to Charlotte, N.C.

The new business model is structured into the following divisions:

—R&D Team: Also led by Panno, the R&D Team will leverage different processes across Electrolux to reduce time to market.

—Commercial Team: Led by Harri Paivaniemi, this division consists of 10 regions divided among mature markets where Electrolux has a solid presence, markets where it plans to grow more aggressively, and emerging markets. The Commercial Team will manage the sales channels, and the service networks and will focus on expanding selective key product categories and customer segments

—Food Service Business Unit: Philippe Zavattiero will run this unit which, along with the Laundry Business Unit (led by Wolf Markus Frank) will be responsible for driving sales growth through the necessary focus, accountability and follow-up in the different customer segments and product categories

—Business Unit Chains: This group, led by Mark Whalen, is dedicated to serving commercial restaurant chains and major key accounts globally, where a tight interaction between sales and R&D and a high degree of customization are required to secure and successfully capture growth opportunities for Electrolux

Chris Sisternas, formerly VP sales, Electrolux Laundry, has become head Region Americas, including both food and laundry sales operation
