Earth Fare's Daily Deals aim to feed a family four for under $2.50 per person
Natural and organic food retailer Earth Fare has introduced Clean Food Security, an offering of what it calls “clean, healthy, and convenient meals designed to feed a family of four, seven days a week, for an average of $2.50 per person per meal.”
The grocer used current in-store offerings to create a week’s worth of clean meals at an attractive price point. Available through the chain’s ready-to-go Daily Deal program, the meals can each be prepared with Earth Fare brand products, all sourced with non-GMO ingredients and priced below national brands, together with other “price-locked” items across the store. Offerings include a $5 rotisserie chicken every Monday. The complete meal planner can be found online.
“There’s a misconception that clean, healthy eating costs more,” said Earth Fare President and CEO Frank Scorpiniti. “The truth is, not taking care of our health through the foods we eat is what’s really costly. Our customers are able to shop confidently, knowing that the items they buy are the Cleanest, healthiest products available, and Clean Food Security allows them to feed a family of four dinner for just $10.”
Earlier this year, Earth Fare challenged Americans to Live Longer With Earth Fare, a program that encourages consumers to establish healthier eating habits.
Asheville, N.C.-based Earth Fare operates 42 stores across nine states in the Southeast, mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
