C&S Appoints Alejandro Rodriguez Bas EVP, New Biz and Market Development

C&S Wholesale Grocers has named Alejandro Rodriguez Bas its EVP, new business and market development.

"Throughout my career, I have focused on the development of new and growing markets," noted Rodriguez, whose most recent position was CEO of Grupo LALA, the largest dairy company in Latin America. He previously spent almost 10 years with PepsiCo in executive leadership roles in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand. At Pepsico, his business models were adopted in various regions and he received the prestigious Donald M. Kendall award. 

"Alejandro possesses a rare visionary quality that has allowed him to develop truly innovative market development strategies," observed C&S President Mark Verdi. "This vision, along with his extraordinary leadership style, will be a tremendous asset."

The expanding wholesaler recently named Christopher Brown its SVP, independent sales.

Keene, N.H.-based C&S, the largest wholesale grocery supply company in the United States, supplies 5,000 independent supermarkets, chain stores, military bases, and institutions with more than 150,000 products.
