Conagra Adds Tad Dickson to Board
Conagra Brands Inc. has appointed Thomas “Tad” Dickson to its board of directors, effective immediately. With this addition, the company’s board will consist of 11 members.
"Tad’s extensive executive leadership experience and perspective on the grocery industry make him a tremendous asset to the company and our shareholders,” noted Steve Goldstone, chairman of Chicago-based Conagra.
Dickson was president and CEO of Matthews, N.C.-based Harris Teeter Supermarkets Inc. from February 1997 until January 2014, when it became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co. During that time, he was also a director of the company, including a stint as chairman from March 2006 until January 2014. Currently, Dickson is a director of Brixmor Property Group Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment trust, and of CST Brands Inc., a publicly traded convenience store chain.
In his new role at Conagra, he said that he would be “working closely with my fellow directors, as well as the management team, as the company embarks on its future as a branded pure-play consumer foods company.”
