Allegiance Retail Services Adds Jaclyn Arturi as Category Manager – Dairy

Allegiance Retail Services LLC has hired Jaclyn Arturi as its category manager - dairy.

Arturi's two-decade supermarket industry career began when she joined Stop & Shop as a cashier in 1994. Over the next 13 years, she held positions in customer service and file maintenance, as well as opening the bakery departments at Stop & Shop's Aberdeen and Secaucus, N.J., stores.

In 2008, Arturi joined Keene, N.H.-based C&S Wholesale Grocers at its Avenel, N.J., facility, where she spent more than two years as a grocery buyer before becoming the distributor's GM/HBC alternate source buyer in 2011. Her most recent role was as a frozen buyer for White Rose Food, in Carteret, N.J.

"Her past experience and knowledge will enhance the dairy merchandising we provide to our stores," said Steve Hungerbuhler, VP-dairy/deli/frozen at Iselin, N.J.-based Allegiance, which provides marketing, advertising, technological and merchandising support, as well as a full line of Foodtown private label products.
