Alexandra Levit to Keynote Top Women in Grocery Luncheon
Nationally recognized business and workplace author and speaker Alexandra R. Levit will serve as the keynote luncheon speaker during the afternoon educational and networking portion of Progressive Grocer's upcoming Top Women in Grocery event and celebration, scheduled for Nov. 12, 2014, at Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel.
Levit will discuss essential leadership capabilities women must develop if they are to be successful in a rapidly changing workforce, including flexibility, diplomacy, business acumen and innovation. Using anecdotes of famous women leaders and research related to the future of work and women's current leadership status, Levit's discussion promises to motivate and inspire attendees to confidently embark on their own unique leadership journeys.

NEW Strategic Networking Workshop
Following Levit's presentation, the afternoon learning and networking program will continue with a strategic networking workshop – Setting Goals, Crafting Your Pitch, Putting it to Work – led by Eileen Tarjan, manager of learning for the Network of Executive Women (NEW). Tarjan manages and helps develop new and existing learning programs for NEW, in addition to managing the Network’s webinars and programming.
Peer Circle Breakout Discussions
The Top Women in Grocery learning platform will conclude with peer circle breakout discussions. Led by women leaders from some of the food industry’s most admired organizations, the Learning and Growing Through the Power of Peer Support peer circles will provide afternoon event participants with a rich opportunity to explore and learn about top traits of thriving leaders, successful work/life integration strategies and key ways to increase leadership opportunities.
