ACNielsen Signs Raley's
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - ACNielsen announced that its Web-based category management intelligence system, Category Business Planner (CBP), will soon include information from Raley's, a leading West Coast retailer. Raley's owns and operates Raley's Superstores, Bel Air Markets, and Nob Hill Foods.
"This will give us critical standardization across our category management group - not only in terms of conducting category business reviews, but also in helping our everyday category management. CBP allows us to look at data in the markets where we compete, and to put that data to use, improving our category performance," said Raley's v.p. of non-perishables Kevin Curry.
CBP enables greater collaboration between manufacturers and retailers by defining product categores according to each retailer's criteria, thereby putting manufacturers and retailers on the same page when meeting to discuss category business plans.
Other retailers using Category Business Planner include Meijer, Supervalu, Hannaford Bros., Winn-Dixie, Ahold USA, H-E-B, Giant Eagle, and Target.
