‘Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” Widens Cross-Promotional Menu
Emmy-award winning children’s animated TV series “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” has signed on with two new food partners, MaMa Rosa’s refrigerated pizza and First Juice Brand. The show’s cross-promotional program also includes Minute Rice, Darling Clementines, On-Cor Frozen Foods, Joy Cone Co., and Jolly Time Pop Corn.
“MaMa Rosa’s is the No. 1 refrigerated pizza brand in the country, and First Juice is the nation’s first organic, low-sugar, fruit and vegetable juice for young children,” noted Julie Cartwright, SVP brand marketing at Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Anchor Bay Entertainment, which distributes “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy” DVDs. “With MaMa Rosa’s and First Juice products, families nationwide will soon get to enjoy ‘Wubbzy’ in delectable new ways.”
Starting in March and running through August 2010, First Juice products will hit store shelves in support the of DVD release of “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!: Wubbzy Goes Gree”n and the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22. Consumers who buy any Wubbzy DVD and two participating First Juice products – an 8-ounce reusable, recyclable sippy top and 32-ounce multi-serve refill bottles — will receive a $3 rebate. Throughout the campaign, “Wubbzy Goes Green” will be featured on First Juice’s bottles, marketing materials, and Web site, www.firstjuice.com.
From April through June 2010, the MaMa Rosa’s refrigerated pizza initiative will offer consumers the opportunity to save $3 off the purchase of MaMa Rosa’s pizza and any “Wubbzy” DVD. Participating products will be MaMa Rosa’s Mini pizzas, Small pizzas, Family pizza, and Old Italian Family pizzas. As part of the campaign 1.5 million pizza packages will feature a vivid “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” decal on the front of the overwraps. In keeping with the message of the “ Wubbzy Goes Green” DVD, MaMa Rosa’s packaging is made from recyclable materials.
Also a star on the Internet, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! remains the top game for the past two years on NickJr.’s award-winning website (www.nickjr.com) and boasts the first-ever video podcasts for preschoolers at www.wubbzy.com.
